The workshop operates on the principle that the owner of a watch should know what is happening to it at every stage. This shapes how jobs are structured, how findings are communicated, and what records are produced.
Each service begins with an assessment. The watch is examined and the relevant measurements are taken. A written scope is agreed before any work begins. If the examination reveals something unexpected, you are told before the work continues.

Work carried out within the agreed scope, with any changes flagged immediately.
Full written record prepared and returned with the watch.
Water Resistance Testing and Gasket Renewal
Dry pressure testing to establish whether a case still holds its rating, followed by renewal of case-back, crown, and pusher gaskets, cleaning of seating surfaces, and a repeat test after reassembly. Includes inspection of the crown tube and a written note of the pressure held. Recommended annually for watches worn in the sea or pool, and before any swim season.
Suitable for:
Watches worn swimming, diving, or in rain. Annual gasket check for watches rated 100m or above. Pre-season check before extended water exposure.
Timing Regulation and Rate Adjustment
Measurement of amplitude, beat error, and daily rate across six positions on a timing machine, adjustment of the regulator and hairspring where appropriate, and a further 48-hour observation cycle to confirm stability across the power reserve. Owners receive before-and-after timing traces and a plain-language explanation of what the numbers describe. Suitable where a watch runs consistently fast or slow but is otherwise sound.
Suitable for:
Watches running consistently fast or slow. New acquisitions where rate has not been established. Watches after extended storage. Pieces where rate drift has been noticed over time.
Full Restoration for Heritage Pieces
An extended, staged engagement for watches carrying age, patina, or family history. Stages cover documentation and photography, movement teardown and corrosion assessment, component fabrication where original parts are unobtainable, case and bracelet work agreed line by line, dial conservation rather than replacement wherever feasible, and final regulation. Each stage is quoted and approved separately.
Suitable for:
Family heirloom pieces. Vintage watches with stopped or intermittent movements. Pieces with corrosion damage or missing components. Watches with personal or historical significance where the work requires time and care.

Standards that apply to every job
Written documentation standard
Every completed job includes a document describing the findings, the work performed, and the test results. This is returned to you alongside the watch.
Owner approval before proceeding
Nothing is done to a watch that has not been agreed. Unexpected findings are communicated and discussed before any additional work takes place.
Conservation as the default position
Original components are conserved wherever possible. Replacement is proposed only where conservation is not viable, and always with the owner's explicit agreement.
Verification testing included
Services include appropriate verification steps — pressure tests for gasket work, timing traces and 48-hour observation for rate regulation — as part of the standard scope.
Secure handling throughout
Pieces are stored securely in the workshop at all times. They do not leave the premises for any part of the work we have agreed to undertake.
Honest assessment of scope
If the work required falls outside what the workshop handles, we say so at the initial assessment rather than accepting the job and discovering limits later.
Clear pricing before any work begins
All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit and include the verification testing and documentation described above. Heritage restoration is quoted by stage; the figure below covers the opening stages of a typical project.
